Daniel Jordan Thomas DeVita is an editor and filmmaker based in Vancouver, B.C. with over a decade of experience, and hundreds of hours of programming under his belt.

Daniel’s career began in 2007 while completing the Advanced Diploma for Motion Picture Production at Capilano University. He promptly solidified a role in post production at eOne (formerly Paperny Entertainment) working on many prolific Canadian documentary and reality programs, quickly emerging as a key creative and leader in his field.

Daniel’s credentials stretch from documentary to scripted: series editor of new hit documentary Rust Valley Restorers, lead-editing doc-series Yukon Gold, editing the CSA nominated This Is High School, lead-editing and writing Leo winning reality series Get Stuffed. He has also received critical acclaim from ShowCase for directing and editing the six part web-series sensation Mental Beast, and praise for co-directing, co-writing and editing, festival favourite Under Pressure of Crazy8s fame.

With a strong vision and a penchant for storytelling, Daniel brings a unique combination of heart, grit, and humour. He’s committed to recognizing the passions and strengths of others both on the screen and in the suite.
